Ensure your fire extinguishers are tested. Furthermore, certified and approved to Australian Standards. In addition, they must be compliant with the Building Code.
As a result extinguishers must be inspected every six months. And some types may require additional annual checks. Each one will need to be emptied and pressure tested. Furthermore they need to be refilled every five years.
As a result of partial discharge they must be refilled. This is in addition to routine 5 year services.
The tests and intervals are recorded on a label or metal tag, which is attached to the unit.
